Night Train - Grapevine, Texas
It was 10PM at night when I decided to shoot this old locomotive in the dark in Grapevine, Texas. I've shot it during the day and it really looks bad but at night, it shines.
I say it looks bad because the black paint that was applied to the body has faded in the Texas sun to shades of gray. Bad in daylight but great at night.
I used the X-Pro1 and the 18mm mounted on a tripod. Why the high ISO of 1600.. I wanted to see how it performed. I rarely shoot above ISO 800 and thought this would
be a good opportunity to test the high ISO capability of the X-Pro1. I do plan to shoot this again at base ISO and a much longer exposure. I am not happy with the noise.
Yes.. this was heavily edited in Photoshop. Guilty I am.. but I love the end result.
